Mahmoud M. Abdallah

Founding Partner
Mahmoud M. Abdallah is the Founder Partner of MMA Global Investments. He is also the founder and President of MMA Global Advisors, a strategic advisory firm. He has over 30 years of experience in the insurance and financial industry, including real estate investment, mergers and acquisitions, consulting, privatization and global initiatives. He is a Senior Advisor to Public Pension Capital (PPC) and worked as an advisor to The Rockefeller Brothers Fund, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and Mazars USA.
Mr. Abdallah was the architect of insurance reform in Egypt, where he served as Chairman and CEO of Misr Insurance Holding Company (MIHC). He oversaw one of the largest corporate merger and restructuring in the Middle East.
Prior to that, Mahmoud worked for American Re Corporation for 20 years, one of the top providers of insurance and reinsurance in the world. He served as Executive Vice President as well as President of International Operations. He played a major role in the MBO of the company with KKR and the subsequent merger with Munich Re. He served on the board of the International Insurance Council in the U.S., where he was elected Chairman twice.
Mahmoud formerly served on the board of Validus Holdings, Ltd., a major worldwide provider of reinsurance and insurance, while it was publicly traded on the NYSE, helping to shepherd its acquisition by AIG. Mahmoud is currently on the board of IPR Group Holding in Zurich, the Metropolitan Opera in New York and a member of the National Council for Arts and Sciences at George Washington University. He has formally served on a wide variety of public and private boards, including Orascom Hotel and Development, HSBC Egypt, Egypt Air, Egyptian Resorts Company, and American Re Corporation and associated companies.
Mr. Abdallah is the founder of the MMA Foundation, a 501c3 charitable organization established in 2001 to fund art, science, educational, health and community services.
Mahmoud received his Bachelor and Master of Business Administration degrees from Cairo University. He received an Associate of Underwriting (AU) Designation from the Insurance Institute of America.
Nader M. Abdallah

Partner
Nader Abdallah is a Partner at MMA Global Investments where he is primarily responsible for company operations and communications, focused on relationship management, business development, and office administration. He supports the firm’s underwriting, financing and asset management activities.
Prior to joining MMA, Mr. Abdallah served as Investor Relations Manager for Egyptian Resorts Company in Egypt, one of the largest luxury tourism companies in the Middle East, managing numerous road shows and public relations campaigns across the Middle East, Europe and the U.S.
He previously served as a Financial Analyst for Munich Re America in Princeton, NJ, focused on the healthcare, direct treaty and facultative divisions.
Nader received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from George Washington University.
Amir Abdallah is a Partner at MMA Global Investments where he is primarily responsible for internal accounting, asset management, and financial due diligence, focused on underwriting and financing new ventures. He supports the firm’s business development and administrative activities.
Prior to joining MMA, Mr. Abdallah served as Senior Financial Lines underwriter for AIG and Allianz based in the UAE and UK, specializing in management liability underwriting and product development for multinational financial institutions.
Amir received a Masters of Business Administration degree with honors from George Washington University. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from George Washington University.
Advisory Board
Ms. Ross is a seasoned (re)insurance professional with over forty years in the industry. She has had extensive experience as a consultant focusing on mergers and acquisitions, operational best-practices and valuations of property/casualty (re)insurance companies around the world. From 2003 through 2015, she served as a Principal and Consulting Actuary of Milliman, Inc., a global insurance consulting firm. She retired from Milliman at the end of 2015. Prior to joining Milliman, she served from 1995 through 2002 as Vice President and Consulting Actuary with Am-Re Consultants, Inc. and from 1985 to 1994 as a Principal and Consulting Actuary with Tillinghast/Towers Perrin. She began her career in 1976 as an underwriter and actuarial assistant with Travelers Insurance Company.
Ms. Ross has a broad perspective on global (re)insurance industry financial and operational processes and best practices. She also has extensive experience in assessing policy, strategy and execution within the property/casualty (re)insurance industry.
Ms. Ross is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS). She is a past President of the CAS and served as the Chair of the CAS Board of Directors. Ms. Ross is a graduate of the University of Illinois with a BS degree in mathematics. In addition, she received a MA degree in mathematics from the University of Miami.
In May 2016, Ms. Ross was appointed as a Director of the Validus Holdings, Inc, a global reinsurer domiciled in Bermuda. In May 2017, Ms. Ross was appointed Chair of the Advisory Board of MMA Global Investments.
Mr. Stropoli is an accomplished executive with broad experience within virtually all segments of the Insurance industry vertical. His most recent position was Chief Financial Officer for Munich Health North America and a Board Member of Munich Re Stop Loss, Inc. from which he retired June, 2017.
His prior experience included Chief Financial Officer at AIG where he was recruited to help rehabilitate its Global Reinsurance Division. Previously, he led strategic and financial planning for Munich Re America and helped build global operations for American Re-Insurance Company.
Throughout his career he has counseled other executives and drove change, enhancing performance of the respective business unit. He helped develop strategies for growth, profit improvement and business expansion and, guided the executive team to execute on those strategies. He has developed key management systems and integrated them into the overall corporate infrastructure and helped build modern, internet based communications infrastructure on a global scale for the Munich Re Group. He is a change agent with a proven track record for devising and implementing strategies and developing modern and efficient business infrastructure.
Mr. Stropoli received his Masters of Business Administration with Graduate Honors from Regis University.
Mr. Kahn is a Partner with Tavros Holdings LLC, a privately owned real estate investment management and development firm based in New York City. He is responsible for the firm’s acquisition/investment, development, fundraising, and asset management initiatives, which has led the firm to acquire, develop, and manage more than $1.0 billion in real estate assets throughout New York City since 2011.
Prior to Tavros, Mr. Kahn served as Vice President of Zeckendorf Development, LLC where he was responsible for the firm’s finance and acquisition activities including sourcing, underwriting and capitalizing both existing and new projects. He also managed various aspects of the record-breaking 15 Central Park West development, an 800,000 square foot, $2.2 billion residential and retail condominium project located in Manhattan and is one of the most sought after residential addresses in North America.
Prior to his work at Zeckendorf Development, Mr. Kahn served as Manager for Lennar Urban, where he managed the development of a 2,700 unit, $2 billion master planned community along the New Jersey Gold Coast overlooking New York City. He was also Manager for Edison Properties, LLC, where he was responsible for acquisitions and development activities, including The Ludlow, a 243 unit, $90 million ground-up luxury rental development in Manhattan’s Lower East Side.
Mr. Kahn is a magna cum laude graduate of Boston University where he pursued a dual-degree track, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Finance as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. Mr. Kahn is also a Full Member of the Urban Land Institute.
